Urolase allows all hospitals to make use of state-of-the-art holmium laser technology without the capital outlay.
The large capital outlay to set up a holmium laser service can be daunting, why not utilise our decades of experience to tailor make a service specific to your needs?
Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate – HoLEP provides immediate relief from obstruction and removing the need to insert a catheter.
The use of the laser provides excellent haemostasis and reduced post-operative complications. This leads to shorter hospital stays (often day cases) and overall reduced costs.
The Holmium wavelength is unrivalled in the fragmentation of ureteric and bladder calculi regardless of the composition of the stone – even difficult cystine and monohydrate stones.
Local anaesthesia can be used if general is deemed unnecessary. All types of stones can be fragmented to the point where they will pass reducing the need for re-treatment.
Small superficial tumours in the bladder or ureter can be destroyed with the use of a Holmium Laser under local anaesthesia.
Larger bladder carcinomas can be resected and are often completed under general anaesthesia as day case surgery.
I have worked with Roy and Ross over the past 9 years and have always been impressed with the service provided. Crucially, they are always reliable, very flexible in their approach and provide excellent laser services to the patients with stone and prostate problems.
